Halos
September 24, Alan Engstrom opened her beautiful home for our annual fall meeting. The clouds cleared just in time for our lovely poolside evening. Texas Beta collegians greeted us and the fabulous Directory team was there to distribute this year’s Directory. We all enjoyed combination fajitas and shrimp ceviche cocktails served by
Maximo. Halos to Alan Engstrom for a wonderful evening “All About Pi Phi Friends”!

On June 26, 2009 nearly one thousand Pi Phis blazed trails from North, South, East and West and converged upon the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, Texas.

The Gift of Leadership
During the Pi Beta Phi 67th Biennial Convention the Dallas Alumnae Club of Pi Beta Phi was pleased to present a copy of The Gift of Leadership: How to Relight the Volunteer Spirit in the 21st Century by keynote speaker, Mark Levin to the 300 convention voting delegates. The club underwrote the book in honor of the new Pi Beta Phi Grand President, Mary Tatum, a member of the Dallas Alumnae Club of Pi Beta Phi.
Dallas Alumnae Club of Pi Beta Phi received a letter of thanks from Grand President, Mary Loy Tatum stating:
The Fraternity thanks you so much for underwriting the book The Gift of Leadership that was given as a “gift” to the alumnae delegates after Mark Levin’s keynote address at convention. This underwriting was very generous of you and was appreciated a great deal by all.
If you’re interested in reading the book that was donated, you can purchase it online at amazon.com: The Gift of Leadership: How to Relight the Volunteer Spirit in the 21st Century
