Pictures with Santa 2010

Dallas Pi Phi - Pictures with Santa 2010

The Junior Day Group’s Pictures with Santa event was a HUGE success this year! Reservations were full several weeks before the event, with over 100 total sign-ups. Pictures with Santa is one of our premier events, and it once again has proven to be one of the highlights of the holiday season for many of our members, friends and children!

Stacy Bratton Photography was on hand to capture all the excitement. Check out more photos from the event by clicking on the thumbnails below. A big thanks to Stacy for working with us again this year!

The Little Cupcakes Company was set up at the event, selling their adorable personalized items, scarves, etc. which make wonderfully unique Christmas gifts. They have generously offered to donate 10% of all proceeds from the event to Pi Phi charities. You can still order online and make a difference to Pi Phi charities by selecting “Pi Phi Santa” when ordering online at www.littlecupcakescompany.com.

Halos: Many thanks to Amy Ramirez and Megan McFarland for organizing such a spectacular event. Also, halos to Beth Malloy for assisting during the entire event.

Join In. Mount Up. Ride Tall.

Landon Darling, Pris Darling, Mary Tatum, Marla Wulf and Audrey Pennings

The Dallas-Ft. Worth Area Council celebrated Pi Beta Phi’s Fraternity Day of Service on Saturday, March 6 at our own Pris Darling’s ManeGait. ManeGait Therapeutic Horsemanship’s mission statement is about helping riders move beyond their boundaries through the power of the horse. We heard straight from the “horse’s mouth”, from a rider’s mother, Kelly Waterman, about the physical and mental success riding has brought to her beautiful daughter.

Our group enjoyed a complete presentation about ManeGait and performed a rousing Speed Read benefiting First Book. We then moved to the arena to watch the riders and tour the grounds and barns, but we still had time to mingle and visit with our Pi Phi friends in the area. Region 4 Alumnae Director, Marla Wulf, traveled here from The Woodlands, and the day was led by Region 4 Programming Specialist, Audrey Pennings. Another honored guest of the day- Mary Tatum, Pi Beta Phi Grand President.

Dallas Pi Phi volunteers decorate bookplates at West Dallas Community School

Members of the Dallas Alumnae Club of Pi Beta Phi spent the day at West Dallas Community School with 4th grade students from Mrs. Angela Elledge’s art classes.  The students pulled out their colored pencils to decorate and personalize bookplates to be affixed into books that First Book, Pi Phi’s partner in literacy, will distribute to children in need.
