Landon Darling, Pris Darling, Mary Tatum, Marla Wulf and Audrey Pennings

The Dallas-Ft. Worth Area Council celebrated Pi Beta Phi’s Fraternity Day of Service on Saturday, March 6 at our own Pris Darling’s ManeGait. ManeGait Therapeutic Horsemanship’s mission statement is about helping riders move beyond their boundaries through the power of the horse. We heard straight from the “horse’s mouth”, from a rider’s mother, Kelly Waterman, about the physical and mental success riding has brought to her beautiful daughter.

Our group enjoyed a complete presentation about ManeGait and performed a rousing Speed Read benefiting First Book. We then moved to the arena to watch the riders and tour the grounds and barns, but we still had time to mingle and visit with our Pi Phi friends in the area. Region 4 Alumnae Director, Marla Wulf, traveled here from The Woodlands, and the day was led by Region 4 Programming Specialist, Audrey Pennings. Another honored guest of the day- Mary Tatum, Pi Beta Phi Grand President.
